# How it began

**How It Began**

Stoopid Cats was born in **December 2023** with a simple but powerful purpose:\
to create moments of joy and relief in a world full of pressure.

At the heart of the project is the **“Be Stoopid” movement**—a message to slow down, let go of stress, and embrace life’s small joys with a lighter heart.

The idea came during a challenging time in one of our co-founder's life. He found unexpected comfort in watching his own cat—calm, carefree, completely unbothered by the chaos of the world. That moment sparked a realization:\
**sometimes, we just need to be a little more like that—free, present, and joyful.**

With the help of our **art director**, the Stoopid Cats character was created—quirky, lovable, and full of personality, embodying that exact mindset.

Soon after, we teamed up with our **third co-founder**, a full-stack developer, and began building something different—something more **human and lasting** than typical crypto projects.

Instead of relying on hype or trends, we focused on giving back:

* through a **loyalty-based NFT ecosystem**
* with **play-to-earn and non-P2E games**
* and **real-world giveaways and merchandise**

Our vision is to bridge **Web2 and Web3**, connecting character IP, gaming, and NFTs into one **reward-driven, emotionally grounded ecosystem**.

**Stoopid Cats isn’t just a project.**\
It’s a movement to share love, lightness, and a little bit of stoopid joy with the world.
